Easter Egg Hunt

This was a fun and easy Easter Card we also made at Stamp Club. The eggs are made using the Wide Oval Punch. We stamped the designs onto the eggs using the "A Good Egg" stamp set and than sponged the edges of the "eggs". To make the sky we sponged over a scallop circle to get the clouds.

Potted Plants

I have seen so many cards using this punch idea but I must admit this is the first time I used it. This is also a new color combination for me. But I love all of these colors together! It is so striking and pretty. I have been using a lot of pinks and browns lately so it was nice to veer away from that and try brand new colors. This was another card that we made at my Open House last month.

Time to Blog!

I thought I would have all this time to blog once my husband got home. WRONG! So I am making time right now. I should be doing laundry and picking up my stamping mess but blogging wins out at the moment.

The butterflies were made with the Heart-to-Heart punch. I just cut the tips off of the hearts. Way too cute!

I CASEd this card from my upline Becca Jung. She did it for a past swap and I immediately fell in love with it. I love the colors in the Candy Lane DSP. I must admit I am a brown girl. It is such a yummy color!

This card is inspired by one made by Lynda Glassmoyer. It was so cute. I changed the colors around a bit for my version. I don't make this size card very often but it is fun to do something different every once in a while. You can put cute coupons or money in the little pocket inside the card.

Rudolph Gift Tag

Here is another adorable idea for punches--Rudolph. Can you guess what punches made the antlers? They were made by using the punch "biting" technique (there maybe another name for is but that is what I call it). You punch out a Wide Oval than using the same punch bite into the oval to make a skinny oval half. Sounds complicated but it really isn't.

Gift Card Ornaments

I CASEd this idea from Lynda Glassmoyer. She shared a sample at our demonstrator meeting last month. It was such a cute idea that I couldn't wait to make one. I have been wanting to use the "A Cardinal Christmas" for quite a while now and thought it would look great with the Top Note Die. The back of the ornament is where you tuck the gift card into the slot.

Santa Gift Tag

I love Stampin' Up!'s punches. They are so versatile and there is so much that you can do with them. They also help card making and scrapbooking go a bit faster at times. You can also create so many adorable pictures with all of the punches. Here is a perfect example of that:



Isn't Santa adorable? He looks great on this gift tag or on a card. This was so easy to put together! I recommend using the Two-Way Glue Pen for all the little pieces.

Fabulous Purses

I have seen lots of cards with these little purses on them so I don't know where the original idea came from. I always thought they were so cute but never actually tried one. I thought it would be a fun card to make for Ladies Stamping Night Out. My husband calls me a "bag lady" because I have a bag for everything (well sometimes 2 or 3 bags for everything). All the ladies liked this card and I have someone very special in mind for this card.

Apple Core Tutorial

School starts this week for us. Which always means a busier schedule for our entire family. It also means less time to stamp :-( since I teach a few hours a week and home school my oldest. Not to mention dance lessons, brownies, etc. and all the running around that comes with three kids. Time always seem to fly by once we are on the school schedule.

I saw an apple core card on Aimee Gandara's blog and I knew I wanted to CASE it. It was so cute and seem to fit the time of year perfectly. She didn't know who came up with this idea so I have no idea who the original artist is so I apologize for not being able to give proper credit. I have always had a thing for fruit, don't ask me why, I just think they are fun. I love the Tart and Tangy stamp set and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it! So here is my salute to fall and back to school.



1. As always gather your supplies...
RECIPE: CS--Real Red, Whisper White, & Old Olive; Ink--Real Red & Old Olive Markers, Basic Black Classic Ink; Stamps--Tart n' Tangy & Enjoy Every Moment; Ribbon--Real Red Grosgrain; and Punches--1 1/4 Circle, Scallop Edge, 1/16 handheld & Round Tab Punch


2. Color your apple with markers. Don't forget to breath on the stamp after you are done coloring it. This moistens the ink so you can stamp the image again. I used the Tart n' Tangy apple to make my own DSP for this card. I wanted a fun colorful look for this card (plus I am rearranging my office and stamp stuff and couldn't find my Summer Picnic DSP). :-)



3. Using the Round Tab Punch, punch out a white tab and a red one. The white one will be the core of the apple and the red one is the peel.



4. Gently and carefully tear off the top and bottom of the red tab. This will be the top and bottom of your apple core. Attach it to the white tab, making sure to match up the white and red edges. As simple as that you know have an apple core!




5. Add seeds, a stem and some leaves and you are all set. Don't know an easy way to make leaves? Go to this tutorial to learn how.
