Manhatten Rose Class

If you wanted to take this class last Thursday and couldn't, don't worry!! I had to cancel the class due to the three county-wide power outage. It is kind of hard to stamp when you don't have any power!!

So I have rescheduled this class for May 7th at 6:00PM. If you want to make this class but are unable to attend, please let me know and we can set up a new time. The fee for the class is $25 ($20 for Stamp Club members) and we will be making the adorable gift box and eight cards (two cards of each design). You will also receive the instructions so you can make this project again later. So call me today to reserve your kit and place at my stamping table!

Here is the last Make N' Take from Regionals I have to share with you. (I actually have one more MnT but I haven't started it yet!) This is an adorable Love Note Holder using the scallop notes. Way too cute!

Valentine Journal

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

This is a super fun and easy project to do. We took a basic, black & white, composition notebook and covered it with kraft paper. Than we stamped and sponged and decorated to our hearts' content. This is the last gift for Chloe's secret Valentine-Jacquline, which is not a secret any longer.



Sorry, the picture turned out a little dark. Definitely time to start camera shopping!!

Gift Card Ornaments

I CASEd this idea from Lynda Glassmoyer. She shared a sample at our demonstrator meeting last month. It was such a cute idea that I couldn't wait to make one. I have been wanting to use the "A Cardinal Christmas" for quite a while now and thought it would look great with the Top Note Die. The back of the ornament is where you tuck the gift card into the slot.

Milk Carton Container

Here is my latest project!! It is four small milk cartons and a holder. Way too cute! The idea is not mine. I got it from Becky Roberts. It is such a great gift holder! This is one I made for my MOPS Secret Sister (hopefully she knows nothing about my blog or my secret is blown!!). I filled it with m&ms and in the card I put the m&m Christmas Story. She loved it (I was casually watching her as she found it and exclaimed over it). I also added a giant paper clip bookmark for fun.

The paper is from the Ski Slope DSP from the Mini Catalog. This is such beautiful paper. I love the Chocolate Chip and Old Olive together.

Scarecrow Treat Pouch

As soon as I made the Pumpkin Treat pouch I wanted to make a scarecrow one. I couldn't wait to get started trying to create this little guy. I have to admit-I am very proud of this project. When I think of what my cards looked like a year ago versus now- what a huge difference. To be honest I never even would of attempted a project like this last year. I would of assumed it was too hard. Now I know that is not true. My six-year old made one of these as well and had so much fun creating it. If she can do it, anyone can.

We made this adorable pouch at Ladies Stamping Night Out. If you missed this fun event this time you can join us next time on February 7th!!

This is such a cute project. I have someone very special in mind to pass this on to. I know that she will love it and I can't wait to give it to her.

Pumpkin Treat Pouch

This was the 3-D project we made this month in Stamp Club. I have seen lots of Frankenstein versions of this project but I wanted to do something else. This is such a great gift! It would be cute to give out at Thanksgiving as well as Halloween. This project used punches and the Big Shot, still my favorite new toy. It was a lot of fun to create.

I know you can't see it but this is a candy pouch. There are two Top Note Die cuts attached to each side of a small box. You can tuck a small bag of candy between the notes into the box.

Gift Card Holder

I think it is safe to share this great idea I found on "Roxy's" blog. Aren't these so cute? I made them for my September swaps and tomorrow night at my first Stamp Club meeting. (If you haven't signed up yet you are missing out)!! I don't know about you--but we send out a lot of Gift Cards for Christmas. We have family halfway across the country and I hate standing in line at the Post Office, especially right before Christmas. As soon as I saw this I knew it was the perfect way to dress up a gift card and make it seem like more of a personal gift.

Paper Party

Sunday was my open house. Thank you ladies for a wonderful afternoon. I had a great time, I hope you did to! We made cards, played with the Big Shot, devoured the new catalog and had a fun stamp auction. I hope to see you this fall so we can stamp together!!




You walk into stores today and you will find hundreds of party ideas, decorations, favors and more. Why not create your own? This is a display of party projects I had out for my open house on Sunday. As soon as my daughter saw these projects she demanded to know what we were making for her birthday party (which is months away).

HUGE Convention Announcement!!

I have HUGE, EXCITING and FABULOUS news for you!! I was unable to go to Stampin' Up!'s annual convention last week in Salt Lake City this year, bummer I know, but there were a bunch of fabulous ladies who kept the "Breaking News" coming through e-mails. One of the news was so MOMENTOUS that it brought 6,000+ demonstrators to their feet cheering and clapping and some were even in tears. What can I say? We are passionate about our business!

So what is this huge announcement? Maybe you can tell from the bag...





Any ideas? Let me tell you! Stampin' Up! has just announced a brand new product line and partnership with another company! This is a product line that demonstrators have been asking for and the company listened! Stampin' Up! is partnering with Sizzix and selling the Big Shot die cut machine, Sizzix dies and EXCLUSIVE STAMPIN' UP! DIES.



What are "Die Cuts"? some of you may be asking. Die cuts are shapes, images, letters, words, etc. cut out of cardstock, DSP, foam, felt and other materials using a die (which cuts or embosses the image when put in a die-cutting machine). The Big Shot is a manual die-cutting machine that cuts over 50 different products including card stock, Designer Series paper, fabric, chipboard, plastic, and more. Stampin' Up! will be releasing dies that are SU! original artwork that coordinate with our stamps, papers, etc. along with Sizzix dies. If you have dies for other machines (i.e. the Cuttlebug) they are compatible with the Big Shot.



How can this help with your cardmaking, scrapbooking and other crafting needs? It can add simple embellishments for all your products. It will also make mass producing cards so much easier. Your scrapbook pages will take on new flair with die cuts. You can even use some of the die cuts to make 3-D projects in a snap. Scallop Flowers Stationary Box

So I finally finished the project my Mom and I were working on last Friday. The project that started the "Scallop Flower & Leaf Tutorial". Thank you for all of the fabulous comments I got on it. I hope I can do more tutorials in the future. Actually I finished my project a few days ago but finally took pictures today. This is not my original idea I got the idea from Jackie Topa who is incredibly creative. She is the creator of the Stationary Box but as soon as I saw it I knew I had to make it.

It looks just like a regular card box, right? Well that is where you are wrong. This card box features loads of surprises...


Would you believe that this box holds...3X3 Love Notes...Standard-Size Cards...Gift Tags...Stamps...a Pen....and an Address Book?



Well....Believe it!!

What a fabulous idea!! Here are all the goodies inside!!

I love how she cut out the flowers from the DSP using a punch. It was so creative and a fun way to look at the DSP other than just a sheet of paper.

Apologies for the Lack of Pictures

As I posted my weekly tidbit I realized that I have not put any pictures up recently. I am so sorry! Yes I have been busy stamping among other things, and just forgot to post pictures of my latest creations. So here is my latest creation (and yes I will hold a class on how to make these). Purse Mini-Scrapbook Albums. Way too stinkin' cute and so easy to make! I can't take the credit for the original idea, that belongs to Jan Tink. But it was her creation that inspired me to make my own.




As soon as I saw Jan's design I was immediately reminded of being a kid and digging through Mom or Grandma's purse for gum or something to play with. So here is a fun way too share pictures in your purse without having to dig through all the other stuff. What fabulous gifts for someone to put on their desk or some where else special. I am going to make a bunch to send out to relatives once the baby is born. I will put lots of pictures of the kids in them.

Can you guess what they are made of? Any ideas... No?! Well than I guess you will have to come to my Purse Album class on Saturday, May 31st! It will be at my house at 9:00am (I will have coffee and goodies of course). The cost of the class is $20 and includes all the supplies for making the Purse Album and a matching card using the Dahlia Fold. You can bring pictures with you to put into your album or wait until you get home, it is up to you!! RSVP quickly to reserve your spot.

Pretty Pretty Purses!

I am new to all 3-D paper projects, when I look at other peoples' beautiful creations, I will admit, I am completely intimidated. I think to myself, "Yeah, right and how in the world am I supposed to make that?" Well, today I did. I found a folding template online and played around with it this afternoon. The blue "adorable" purse was my first attempt at any type of 3-D project. The only thing Stampin' Up! was the hole punches and the warm words "adorable" stamp. The cardstock was cheap stuff I had on hand. Not too bad for my first attempt, if I do say so myself.

The pink shopping treat bag was my second attemp. It is the same pattern I used earlier but instead of a purse I thought it would make a great treat sack. The embellishments kept coming from there! Only the stamp set and the black and white checked ribbon is Stampin' Up! The stamps are retired now (but still one of my favorites). I cannot wait until my new crop-a-dile comes in! It will make projects like this a snap! I hope you can enjoy and maybe get inspired! Let me know if any of you would like the template so you can try these projects yourselves.
